Arathi Sasidharan Pisharody, Kuwait

Another day, another man

who falls into a pit

dug by none other than

us, recklessly bit

Sitting in our homes, pitying the loss of lives,

leaning over the window, wasting our time

but lo, who is there walking across the street,

wearing just a white coat and a heart filled,

with great responsibility

Do they not have little ones like you,

and me waiting for them

in their sweet little dreams ?

Let us give our grace and thanks to God

and to all those who struggle

so that we may cherish the wonderful

moments with our loved ones

near and dear

What are we waiting for , let us join hands

and make the fence in front of our abode

place your hand in mine for a new dawn

rise up and shine,  for we will be

Born.
